Job Role

Since September 2021, after the integration of Colégio da Fonte into the educational group Project To Be, she has assumed the role of General and Pedagogical Director, continuing with the role of Pedagogical Director she had held since 2007, the year the school was founded.

She is also a member of the Project To Be Pedagogical Council.

Curriculum

Marisa has a degree in Primary School Teaching by Escola Superior de Educação João de Deus, since 2003.
She worked as a Year 4 teacher at Jardim-Escola João de Deus da Estrela and Alvalade for 3 years and was a cooperating teacher in the pedagogical practice of students at Escola Superior de Educação João de Deus.

In 2006, she graduated from the CAP Trainers Training Course, having worked as a trainer in workshops and training in the field of math’s teaching resources (Cuisenaire, Multibasic Calculators, Logic Blocks, “Dons de Fröebel e Tangram”).

She has a postgraduate degree in Pedagogical Supervision and Performance Assessment from “Universidade Católica”, since 2009. As part of a postgraduate intervention project at “Universidade Católica Portuguesa”, she implemented the management of the School’s Internal Assessment process, based on the principles of participation of representatives of all those involved in the school and in the assessment as a strategy for establishing an identity and a process of improvement.
She has a Post-Graduate in Didactics of Mathematics in Pre-School, Primary and Preparatory School, by “Escola Superior de Educação de Lisboa”, since 2013.

In November 2006, she accepted the challenge of founding “Colégio da Fonte”, a project from scratch that came to completion in 2007, where she accepted the responsibility of becoming Pedagogical Director, which she has maintained since then. At Colégio da Fonte, over the years, she has grown personally and professionally, collaborating daily with a team of excellence and contributing to the development of children, with several projects in the area of ​​personal and social training. It implemented the Quality Management Systems Certification of the requirements of the NP EN ISO9001: 2008 standard, promoting the dissemination and adoption of good Quality Management practices.

Personal note

Coming from a family of musicians and singers, music has been her passion from an early age. She was part of the group “Onda Choc” and was a professional singer during her adolescence, always balancing studies with work. As of 2007, she has devoted herself to family and motherhood, currently having three children.

She has been a Reikiana since 2015 and has a special interest for medicine and holistic therapy as a way of improving the physical, emotional and spiritual quality of life.

In January 2022 she published the book “Já sei ler sozinho!”. This book was written in 2020, during the period of mandatory confinement due to the Covid-19 world pandemic, when she realized that her son had difficulties in reading, given the lack of books suitable for his learning phase in the literacy process. As a teacher, she designed a reading book that would allow her son to progressively acquire reading skills and, at the same time, promote his confidence and self-esteem in autonomous reading aloud for the whole family, thus developing greater security and enjoyment. by reading.
